I really like the illustrations of Arthur Rackham, and the BG's of 101 Dalmatians. Unfortunately this attempt comes close to neither, but it was an exercise I gave myself. 1 finished illustration in 1 day.

I needed to come up with some
futuristic yet prehistoric looking foliage.
I like the shapes and the strong color.
I think it gives them a"not-of-this-world look". And thats what we wanted.

Really early Viz-Dev....
I had no idea what the story was going to be,
nor were there any character designs.
About the only thing I knew was that this little Hawaiian girl was concerned about the environment, and was being raised by her sister.
I left a spot in the display case for an "alien"
(Stitch), and popped him in there much later.

VizDev Kingdom...

Another VizDev for Kingdom.
There was a pre-"Emperor's" Seq that took place in some catacombs....

This piece was done while at Disney, we were ramping up to what was then called Kingdom in the Sun.
The film was put on hold, and we were moved onto another film.
It was later put out as The Emperor's New Groove.
